The Circle and a Line

A scholar once came to a king's court,
A tough challenging riddle did he pose.
A picture did he show to the ministers,
and also to the great magicians and tricksters.

A Circle and within enclosed a Line,
'The one who shan't answer shall pay a fine'
'What is the question?' the courtiers asked.
'That is to decipher the figure placed.'

Lost were the courtiers, none came forth,
Until the king's son came to the throne.
He saw the figure and asked what happened.
After hearing he said, 'The picture should be framed.'

'The answer is easy', he said, to amazement,
'It is the relation between possibility and reality'.
The courtiers lay silent for it increased their puzzlement.
The people lay silent so did the nobility.

'It is the one line of reality,
In the infinite circle of possibility.'
The court broke into an instant applause,
For the answer was without any flaws.

The scholar did admit he was right.
He said the king's lad was bright.
So did the riddle end in joy,
For knowledge has no decoy.

Sunset

Away from the busy city,
Where buildings are strong or rickety
I went up the mountain top,
To slowly see the sun drop.

High above that, even  the clouds,
Seemed to be down in a bout.
What a fantastic view to see,
Which filled all joy in me.

To the cold top I went,
Oh! What happiness I felt.
When the sun slowly went to sleep,
Then the nightful darkness sweep.

I went down the hill,
And then did the starlight fill.
Such vivid scenes I saw few,
And now I am sure god will not start anew.

Mother

My dear Mother, the best,
What can one do for you the lest?
Than Mother there is no greater god,
Nor a better wish and dish lord.

Oh embodiment of virtue,
What do you pursue?
Never very rude,
Always there to stop a feud.

What you say is always true,
And what nice coffee you brew.
My brother and I know that you,
Are always there to stop anger spew.

In every way you are the best,
We hope we have done something at lest.
For nor do we want any guilt,
As all you do keeps us in debt’s hilt.

The Storm

The gale blows mighty
Anon the sky is cloudy.
The majestic thunder thou hear,
Which fills heart with fear.

A blinding flash thou see,
The lordliness shows he.
The mighty roll is heard anon,
That send many into swoon.

The Gusto, The Power,
Shown by the shower,
Uproots the mightiest trees,
And makes thy mind free.

It happens not often,
For it is an orphan,
Adopted by nature,
To do justice to her stature.

Who is God?

“May Jesus bless us all” say a Christian,
“May Allah bless me” says a Muslim,
“May Vishnu shower his Grace” prays a Hindu,
But these calls aren’t all.

We pray to him every day,
We wish his grace every day,
The lord is always there,
But the times change.

God us within us,
God is always there to help,
God is who created us,
Within hopping brotherhood.

But do we live unto his will,
Do we do what he wills,
Do we keep up our word,

For He within us, suffers for every wrong done,
For He is none but our belief - to keep check of us,
They are all the same.
